‘HYMNS’ AND ‘HIDDEN HISTORIES’
Using a talk by the artist Joyce Treasure as a starting point, students worked in mixed discipline groups incorporating themes around portraiture, identity, collective and individual experiences or broader commentaries on history.
How can the still and moving image communicate complex histories that may not have been previously told?
How can the different disciplines of photography, filmmaking and animation combine or utilise experimental ways of working that responds to the stories of individuals or groups that may not have been celebrated?
